Doris Mae Tressler, 75, passed peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, December 30, 2025, surrounded by family in her Cape Canaveral, Florida home. Born December 2, 1950 in Chelsea, Massachusetts as the second “army brat” of five daughters of the late Edward B Findley and the late Gracie A. Findley (Stover), living mostly in Morgantown, WV graduating from University High School in 1969.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Tressler (Dec 2009).
She was a faithful employee of Mylan Pharmaceuticals for over 40 years and retired in December 2015 as the Director of Packaging Technical Support. She enjoyed her retirement life on the Banana River of her Cape Canaveral home. She loved spending time with her friends and family, being a beautiful mother, a wonderful “Gram”, and a spectacular “Gigi”. Doris was well-loved and “never knew a stranger”.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Moyer (Jack Moyer), and step daughters Donna Jones and Dawn Nelko. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kristen Borstnar (Mark Borstnar) with children, Kali, Elsie and Elijah; Benjamin Moyer; Amanda Moyer; Emily Moyer; Daniel Moyer; and step-grandchildren, Lindsay Adams (Alexander) with Arthur; and Colin Jones. Doris is also leaving four wonderful sisters: Carol “Franny” Davis, Lora “Jeannie” Junk (David), Brenda Findley, and Edwina“Edie” McDonald (David). Also surviving her are numerous beloved nieces and nephews, especially Christine Pharis, who was a wonderful companion during her retirement years in Florida.
Friends and relatives can join the family at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Pisgah, WV, weather-permitting.
