Doris Ann Vrchoticky, 88, of Coralville, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Solon Care Center.
Doris was born March 17, 1937, in Vale, Tennessee, the daughter of Ira William and Mary Marie (King) Melton. She was employed for 25 years as the manager of printed forms at Moore Business Forms, retiring after 25 years.
On June 11, 1956, Doris was united in marriage to Bobby Herman Eubanks. They later divorced, and on April 14, 1979, she married Donald "Kurly" Vrchoticky in Iowa City.
Doris enjoyed life, she loved playing and watching golf, cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings, bowling, antiquing, painting and traveling.
She is survived by her husband Donald of Coralville; two children: Bob (Glenda) Eubanks of Solon and Sheila (Eric) Eubanks-Cheney of North Liberty; six grandchildren: Cameron (Sami) Eubanks, Spencer Eubanks, Justin (Megan) Waskow, Jennifer (Joe McGinn) Waskow, Pamela Eubanks Ward (fiancé Damon Sojka), and Bobby Eubanks-Cheney; great-grandchildren: Taryn, Chase, and Chloe Eubanks, Kaylen Reed, Della Waskow, Maelyn McGinn, and Shay and Shy Sojka. She is also survived by her sister Iris Scott of Iowa City and sister-in-law Nancy Melton of Paris, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her sister Frances Dettwiler and brother William Melton.
A celebration of life memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty, with a time of sharing beginning at 6:30. Private family burial will be held at North Prairie Cemetery in West Liberty.
