Doris Anderson Weber of Versailles, widow of Joe M. Weber, Jr., passed away on January 10, 2026, in Lexington Kentucky at Cambridge Place. Born in Versailles, Kentucky on December 2, 1934, to the late Walter and Mattie Ann Carpenter Anderson. Doris worked in the thoroughbred industry for many years. She retired as Mayor Pam Miller's personal assistant for Fayette County Government and she is a member of Southside Christian Church, Versailles.
Doris will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Debbie Day Weber, Lexington Kentucky, son David Weber (Karen), Lima Ohio and daughter Donna Howard, Florida, sister, Peggy Anderson Williams (Scott), grandchildren Zachary (Lindsay) Weber, Walter Tipton, Jared (Katie) Tipton, Beth Howard, Ashley Howard and great grandchildren Lilah Ann Tipton, Clark Tipton, Benji Tipton and Brooklyn Weber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Vic Newell and Roberta Sweeney and brothers Glen Anderson, Benny Anderson, Briscoe Anderson and Barry Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 15 at 1:00pm at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm also at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Alan Anderson, Billy Mac, Wade Patterson, Greg Peel, Ray Renfro, Jared Tipton, Walter Tipton and Zachary Weber. Donations can be made in Doris's honor to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
