Lois Hippe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home on Jan. 30, 2026.
Lois Allen Hippe, 92, of Versailles, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Lexington Country Place, surrounded by her loving family.

Lois was born on May 2, 1933, in Versailles, Kentucky, to the late Jesse S. Allen and Elizabeth W. Allen. She was a graduate of Versailles High School and a faithful member of Versailles Baptist Church.

Lois was an avid sports fan and a devoted supporter of the UK Wildcats. She enjoyed painting, gardening, hosting parties, and had a deep love for animals-so much so that they always seemed to find her; she never had to search for a fur baby.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Hippe; her son, Lynn Hippe; and her sisters, Dorothy Allen Neal, Lucille Allen Stewart, and Gertrude Allen McGurk.

Lois will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Beth Adams (Jeremy) of Versailles; her grandchildren, Jessica Adams Brickler (Adam), Justin Adams (Crystal), James Hippe, and Jason Hippe; her great-grandchildren, Damien Hippe, Trey Hippe, Presley Beth Brickler, Violet Marie Brickler, and Irelynn McGillivray; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Hippe Robinson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. The family requests that guests wear blue in honor of Lois's favorite team, the UK Wildcats.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home, with Jonathan Berry officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Adams, Adam Brickler, James Hippe, Jasonik Hughes, Stephen Powers, Christopher Powers, Gareth Evans, and Aaron Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lois's name to the Woodford Humane Society. Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages of condolence and share memories on Lois's tribute page.
