Doris is survived by her daughters, Judi (Larry Jeno) Larsen of Dodge Center, Margi (Jim) Rewitzer of New Ulm, Jean Sturm of Hanska; her sons, Steve (Angela) Weise of Savannah, Texas, Tim (Karen) Weise of Greer, South Carolina; her 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Helen Nonnemacher of New Ulm, Gladys LeGare of New Ulm, and Margaret (Don) Michaletz of Owatonna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her daughter, Mary Beth; her sister, Alice Schwab; her brothers, Wallace in infancy, Frederick (Mary) Guggisberg; her brothers-in-law, Robert Nonnemacher, Richard LeGare, George Schwab; and her sons-in-law, Jeffery Larsen, and Ed Sturm.

Doris Guggisberg was born January 28, 1927, in New Ulm to Alex and Frances (Stadick) Guggisberg. She attended a one room farm school and later Holy Trinity High School, where she graduated in 1945. On September 4, 1946, she married the love of her life, Don Weise at The Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. Together they were blessed with six children whom they raised together in New Ulm. Doris was a devoted mother who found joy in her role as a homemaker before beginning a fulfilling 23 year career in administration with New Ulm Catholic Schools. She was a pillar of her community, generously volunteering her time to the Bloodmobile, Meals on Wheels, the Chamber of Commerce, the Food Shelf, and the hospital auxiliary. In 1987 she was honored to be presented with the CHS Distinguished Alumni Humanitarian Award. Doris was honored in 1996 by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and named, "Woman of the Year" for being an exceptional contributor to the Catholic community. Over the years, she held many parish offices. She held a seat on the parish council where she held a trustee position.

Beyond her community involvement, Doris loved family gatherings, especially during the holidays, where her love for cooking brought everyone together. She was passionate about sewing, quilting, embroidery, and gardening, and she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Doris cherished her family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. She will be remembered as a beacon of kindness, faith and service, embodying true Gospel values throughout her life.

In lieu of flower, memorials are preferred to go to the Oak Hills Living Center, NUACS Scholarship Fund, or the Way of the Cross.

Doris will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
