Doris J (Litzinger) Williams, 103, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025. Doris was born in Pitcairn, PA to Philip and Aleatha Litzinger on August 8,1922. She graduated salutatorian from Pitcairn High School. Doris was a long time resident of Pitcairn.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Wendell Williams, her daughter Mary Jane (Frank) Myers, her parents Philip and Aleatha and her sister Mary Ellen Litzinger.
Doris is the loving mother of Peggy (Mark Rusinko) Martz, Dennis (Antonio Rodrigues) Williams, Robert (Loretta) Williams, Terry (Marci) Williams, Eileen Morgan, Carolyn (Mark) Olson. She is the loving grandmother of Robert Myers, Stacy Cooper, Eston (Angela Rodgers) Martz, Nathan Williams, Melissa (Ryan) Bailey, Cally (Jeremiah) Neal, Scott (Beckie) Williams, Jesse (Jessica) Williams, Daniel Williams, Emily Williams, Jeffrey Morgan, Carley (Sarah) Morgan, Lucas Morgan, Kaitlyn (Zach) Smith, Connor Olson, Ian Olson and Jillian Olson.
Doris also has 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Paul Litzinger.
Doris was a devout Catholic, loved her family fiercely and was so loved by them. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver, and excellent historian and conversationalist. She loved to dance, especially square dancing, round dancing and line dancing. She loved music, playing the piano, playing games and traveling. She never tired of learning new activities such as oil painting and Tai Chi in her later years. Doris was a wise woman who had an amazing sense of humor and exceptional wit.
Doris loved spending time with her large family especially during holidays and beach vacations. She made the world a better place. Doris will be truly missed and forever remembered.
Arrangements entrusted to JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church-Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish on November 29, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interment to will be private at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
