James White Obituary

He was born on September 14, 1938 in Braddock, PA, to the late James and Loretta (Wandless) White. Jim played softball with the Penn Hills Senior League. He ran the 200 and 400 yard dash in the Senior Olympics. Jim and Aleta traveled the world, they went on 37 cruises, flew on the concord, flew over the North Pole, took a helicopter and walked on a glacier in Alaska. They did not stop there, Jim and Aleta toured the Buckingham Palace, walked the Great Wall of China, went through King Tut's tomb in Egypt. Played kickball with an elephant in Thailand, kissed the Blarney Stone. toured Cuba and Iceland and swam with dolphins.
James is survived by his beloved spouse of 59 years, Aleta (McCall) White; children, James (Marge) White and Pamela (Bob) Wargo; pap pap to, Ayla, DJ, Bethany, Dennis; great- pap pap to, Hunter and Cora; and brother to, Sandi White. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorraine Cialone.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, November 4, 2025, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 11 am. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery- Wilkinsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in James memory.
