She worked at the Box Factory and Duval County School Board for many years before retiring to enjoy life.
Doris was a very special, loving and big hearted lady to everyone she met. Her smile would always brighten the room. She loved God, her family and life itself, She faithfully attended Grover road Baptist Church, a loving and caring mom of five boys. A grandmother that you will never forget. An aunt and friend to many people. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning everything she grew and made. She loved searching for sharks teeth at Fernandina Beach and taking mountain trips with family and friends. Spending time with her children and grandchildren, making memories to treasure, meant the world to her. She loved taking chaotic zoo trips with her grandchildren every chance she got and treasured those memories with all her heart. She never met a stranger, just people she hadn't got to know yet. She would talk about her family memories, for hours and hours, to anyone and everyone she knew. Holidays brought joy to her heart. She always had a packed house of family and friends that were so dear to her. So dearly she will be missed.

Doris, respectfully Mrs.Goble came into my family´s lives close to 60 years ago, she was family to us. I reluctantly refer to her as Doris only at her insistence about 10 years ago because I could never get past Mrs. Goble. Her obituary is written beautifully and describes her to a T. She was of the most generous persons I´ve known. She always welcomed you in her home and expected you to not leave hungry. She loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews very much as you could tell by the photographs of you all she surrounded herself with in her home. I will miss our visits as she always had a story to share. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that God has called her home where pain no longer exists. I´m sure she is rejoicing in reuniting with those who went before her. Know she is now the angel on your shoulder while you continue your journey on earth. My love and prayers are with you all.
