Doris Ann Yenna

Doris Ann Yenna, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the MediLodge of Sterling, at the age of 70. Born on March 27, 1955, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Sherwood and Myrtle (Real) Cousineau, Doris grew into a woman of remarkable character, whose life was defined by her unwavering devotion to her family and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures.

Doris's journey through life was one marked by enduring love and companionship. She married her soulmate, Raymond Yenna, on February 3, 1973, in Arenac County, and together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and the warmth of family. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Kimberly (Kenneth) Bacon and Brenda Irmen, who were the center of Doris's world. She instilled in them the values of kindness and thoughtfulness, which they carry forward as her legacy.

A doting grandmother and great-grandmother, Doris cherished every moment spent with her three grandchildren, Cheyanne, Elizabeth, and Harley, and her three great-grandchildren. Each of them was a precious gift to her, and she embraced every opportunity to show them the depth of her love.

Doris's sisters, Shirley Kraska and Kay Cousineau, held a special place in her heart. Together, they shared an unbreakable bond, woven from the threads of shared memories and mutual respect. Their sisterhood was a testament to the enduring nature of family ties.

Beyond her family, Doris had a passion for the great outdoors. She found solace in the companionship of her horses and the thrill of motorcycle rides, with the wind as her guide. Fishing and camping with her beloved Raymond were among her favorite pastimes, as they allowed her to connect with nature and revel in the beauty of the world around her.

Those who knew Doris will remember her as a loving, selfless, and thoughtful individual. Her presence was a comfort to all, and her actions were guided by a deep-seated desire to care for others. She was the heart of her home, a devoted mother and wife, whose every decision was made with the well-being of her family in mind.

A celebration of her life will held at a later date with burial in Pine River Cemetery
