Dorotha Louise Kloxin, 99, of Byers, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2026 in Wichita Falls, Texas

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Byers Riverside Cemetery in Byers, Texas with Pastor Teri Whitgrove, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Henrietta, Texas.

Dorotha was born on February 20, 1927 to the late Forbes and Agnes Gladys (Hickson) McWheter in Gutherie, Oklahoma. She graduated from Gutherie High School. While working at a coffee shop, Dorotha met Alfred Kloxin and the loving couple married in August 1964. They spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2004. Dorotha was a homemaker, seamstress and a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She taught her children to be respectful and to be good Christian people. Dorotha loved the family reunions and enjoyed starting the family water fights. This special lady will truly be missed by many family and friends.

Along with her husband and parents, Dorotha was preceded in death by two daughters, Wynona and Donna; son, Thomas; and one brother and one sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Glenn and Cynthia Preston; two sons, F.A. Kloxin and girlfriend, Lori and Daniel Kloxin and girlfriend, Michelle Adams; her loving grandchildren, Rusty and wife, Patsy, Dustin and wife, Lea, Shawn and wife, Jenny, Cherie and husband, Corey, Heather, Stacey and husband, Austin, Russell, Jenny and husband, Jimmy, Joshua and wife, Susan, Courtney and husband, RC, Will and wife, Stacy, Kyra and boyfriend, Justin, and Laira and husband, Ashby; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren and other loved family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made be made to a charity of their choice.
