Dorothy Marie (Liberatore) Altieri, 89, of Bronxville, NY, entered into Eternal rest on September 21, 2025. Born on March 3, 1936, in Yonkers, NY, she was the beloved daughter of John and Constance (Sinatra) Liberatore.

Dorothy was a devoted Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville, NY. She lived her faith by acts of endless service to her family, friends and community. Dorothy is known for her incredible kindness, generosity, sharp wit, fabulous cooking and creativity. She found great comfort in daily prayer, Mass attendance and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

She is survived by her loving daughters Dina and Susan Altieri and is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Thomas J. Altieri. Dorothy enjoyed the blessings of loving relationships with her brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom and Dorothy enjoyed a vibrant social life that included golfing, traveling and a lifelong love of learning. Family summers were spent in the Pocono Mountains where they enjoyed a wide circle of wonderful friends. Dorothy, an avid fiber artist could be found needlepointing, knitting and crocheting just about anywhere. To know her, was to be gifted one of her incredible hats, scarves or throws.

The family will receive friends at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY on Wednesday September 24th between 4:00-8:00 pm. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville, NY on Thursday September 25th at 9:45 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.

Remember Dorothy by praying the Rosary, a daily practice in which she found great comfort along with her devotion to Padre Pio.

May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen.
