Dorothy M. Aragon, 78, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1947, and made her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Los Lunas, New Mexico.
Dorothy was the beloved daughter of Joe P. Aragon and Ida R. Aragon, both deceased. She is survived by seven siblings Johnny, Toni, Ruby, Larry, Joey, Lucille and Beatrice. She is preceded in death by four siblings, Pat, Edward, Jerry and Manuel. She leaves behind three devoted daughters — Marie Gallegos-Lucero, Debbie Gallegos, and Felicia Trujillo — who were the pride of her life.
A graduate of Rio Grande High School, Dorothy went on to marry and build a life rooted in hard work, love, and family. She dedicated many years of service to Ethicon/Johnson & Johnson before retiring to lovingly care for her parents until their passing. Her commitment to family was unwavering; she always placed others’ needs before her own, approaching every day with generosity, compassion, and quiet strength.
Dorothy’s legacy lives on through her cherished family: her three daughters Marie, along with her spouse Joe, Debbie along with her spouse Fran, and Felicia along with her spouse Matthew. She had seven grandchildren, Demerie, Jeremy, Ryan, Adrian, Michael, Xavier and Marcus, three bonus grandchildren, Chesco, Nico and Lauren, four great-grandchildren, Serenity, Arianna, Joniyah, Jaxx, two bonus great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jonah. To each of them, she was a source of warmth, guidance, and unconditional love. Her selflessness and giving spirit touched all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. She will forever be honored with pride and joy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Peralta, beginning with Viewing at 11:30 a.m., Rosary at 12:30 p.m., and Mass at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe cemetery.
May her memory be a blessing and her spirit live on in all whose lives she touched.
