Dorothy Ash, age 92, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Brookdale Jackson Oaks in Jackson, Tennessee. Daughter of Lee Roy Thomas and Mildred Barrett, Dorothy was born on July 14, 1930, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Following graduation from high school, she was united in marriage to Carol Ash on September 24, 1960, in North Carolina; he preceded her in death on May 28, 2021. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, interior decorating, and was an excellent seamstress. Her greatest pride and joy were her family especially her grandchildren. Dorothy was a loved woman who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include one son, David Ash and his wife Angie, of Franklin, Tennessee; one daughter, Lynn Ash-Trull and her husband Kevin, of Jackson, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Michael Ash, Daniel Braham, Reagan Braham, and Katherine Smith and her husband Joey; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Beckett, and Chandler; one brother-in-law, Jack Ash, of Euless, Texas; one sister-in-law, Delores Ash, of Euless, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse Thomas and Cecil Thomas; one sister, Carolyn Chandler; and her brother-in-law, Gene Ash.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Horner Cemetery, Cassville, with Pastor Royce Gene Burke officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to services at White Funeral Home & Crematory in Cassville, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
