Dorothy G. "Dottie" Baerenrodt

Dorothy G. "Dottie" Baerenrodt, age 93, of Tanglwood Lakes, Greentown died Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Briarwood Senior Living, Newfoundland. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Eugene G. Baerenrodt, in 2019.

Born September 6, 1932, in Jersey City, NJ, Dottie was the daughter of the late Charles Rosenfelt and Grace (Berkhimer) Rosenfelt Bird.

She worked at a salesclerk at a pharmacy before she and Eugene were married. Formerly of Roseland, NJ, she and Eugene retired and moved to Tanglwood Lakes in Greentown, PA, more than 30 years ago. Dottie was active with the Tanglwood Lakes Association on various committees and social activities. She enjoyed skiing and playing tennis but also doing needlepoint to relax.

She is survived by two sons: Joseph Hoffman of Morganton, NC, and Garry Hoffman of Greentown; one stepson: Mark Baerenrodt of Woodside, CA; and her grandchildren: Carolyn Hoffman, Garry Hoffman Jr., Lacy Geiger, Jon Hoffman, Rob Hoffman, Jesse Hayspel, Zane Hayspel, Janet Hayspel and Eric Baerenrodt.

Dottie was preceded in death by her son, Robert Hoffman; her stepdaughter, Beth Hayspel; her grandson, Cody Hoffman; and her brother, Charles Baerenrodt.

Per her wishes, private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
