Dorothy Theresa (Gannetta) Bonanni of Roslindale passed away peacefully, with her children by her side, on October 1, 2025 at the age of 91. She was affectionately known as "Honey" to all that loved her. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank H. Bonanni. They were married on October 6, 1962 and shared 62 years of marriage until Frank passed in 2024. She is survived by her children Diane and her husband Robert Airosus of Medway, James and his wife Janine Bonanni of Quincy, Frank Bonanni of Roslindale and Kara Bonanni of Roslindale. She was the beloved Nonna to her grandchildren Rachel, Paige, Samantha, Zachary and Gabriella, and her great-grandchildren Sophia, Dylan, Cecilia, Elena, Xander and Elijah. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Gannetta. Dorothy was the youngest of seven siblings, all of whom preceded her in death, Anthony, Helen, Judy, Margaret, Mary and Josephine. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was born in Chelsea, MA and soon moved to Boston where she became a lifelong Bostonian. From the West End, to the North End, to Roxbury and finally settling in Roslindale where she lovingly raised her family for the past 60 years and became a lifelong parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale. After graduating high school, she attended Boston Clerical School, where she received a certificate in short-hand. She worked at a law firm on Federal Street in Downtown Boston before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She later worked for many years at the family print shop. Dorothy loved the simple pleasures in life like family dinners, shopping and watching classic movies and her favorite show Andy Griffith. The most important thing to Dorothy was her family. If you ever asked her how she felt she would always say I'm fine as long as I have my children with me.
