Dorothy Bonners Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home on Oct. 31, 2025.
Dorothy Agnes Bonners (nee Mirecka), passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 93.
Dot was the youngest of four siblings. They grew up together in Port Richmond and remained close throughout the years. She had an amazing relationship with all of them - especially her mother, who gave her such nurturing qualities.
As a teenager, Dot made a huge impact on her niece, Janice. They were only fifteen years apart in age and grew up on the same block. Dot and Jan's quality time were mostly spent going on walks, having lunch, seeing a movie, and going to the beach. Dot was not just Janice's aunt, but also a big sister.
Dot met her husband, Ray, when she was in her teens as well. They dated throughout high school and got married after Ray served his time in the military. They just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past April.
Dot loved shopping and fashion. She spent her earlier years as a secretary and later moved onto management for clothing retailers. Soon after, she devoted her life to raising her son, Scott. Dot had many hobbies - she traveled, gardened, and also loved to cook. She was a huge animal lover and enjoyed being in nature.
After the sudden and unfortunate passing of her son, Dot chose to dedicate her life to raising her granddaughter, Raven. Dot's love and devotion to motherhood was truly admirable and respected by all.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dot's caregivers, Yah Boyah, Josephine Taylor, and Ann-Marie Cooper for their exceptional care, love and support.
Beloved wife of 70 years to Raymond J. Bonners, Jr; loving mother of the late Scott Bonners; devoted grandmom of Raven Bonners; and cherished aunt of Janice Mirecka.
Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings; Zygmunt Mirecki (Laura), Helen Nagier (Joseph) and Joseph Mirecki.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation and funeral on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Anslem Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, Pa 19154, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.

I knew Mrs Bonners from St Anselm and the years Raven attended school there. She was always kind, considerate and smiling when she came in the Parish Center. My prayers go out to her family
