Claire K. Darcy (nee Foley), a woman whose life was defined by spice, sweetness, and an unshakable love for her Family and Friends, passed on to Heaven Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born on September 9, 1946, Claire was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Born and raised in Kensington, Claire carried the spirit of her Philadelphia roots throughout her life.
She, and her husband Joe, spent the majority of their married life raising their Daughter in Wissinoming and enjoyed her well-deserved retirement years in Rhawnhurst & Bucks County.
Claire's professional life was a beautiful expression of her love for her family and community. She excelled at Nativity Business School and throughout her career, worked at various Contracting businesses as a skilled Payroll Engineer and Office Manager.
When her Daughter, Angelique, was born, she dedicated herself to being a Homemaker. Once her Daughter started school, Claire used her bookkeeping skills to return to the workforce.
Claire's greatest joy was creating a warm, vibrant, cozy home where EVERYONE felt welcomed.
She had a deep passion for Fun and Friendship. She loved parties where she could enjoy the laughter of friends as well as provide culinary comfort with her delectable dishes of pot roast, turkey with all the trimmings, coleslaw, potato salad, meatballs and baked chicken.
HER BAKING WAS LEGENDARY.
Her scrumptious cakes and highly coveted chocolate chip cookies were her signature treat for Loved ones.
Among her favorite pastimes were: Bingo and going to the Casino~ pulling those slots!
Every summer, she enjoyed family vacations at the Jersey Shore, soaking up the sun and enjoying classic Boardwalk fun like Skilo, Fudge, and Fascination!
Claire was truly an UNforgettable person-a rare combination of spicy and sweet. She could be cantankerous at times, and she famously said what she meant and meant what she said.
However, Beneath that feisty exterior was a heart made of pure, shining gold. She was one of the most generous Souls you'd ever meet and was deeply sentimental. Claire possessed profoundly rooted patriotism and an enduring faith in God and the goodness of the Universe. She Loved being a Friend to all who knew her.
She is remembered by: her loving husband of an incredible 60 years, Joseph J. Darcy.
