On Monday the 3rd day of November, 2025, our family witnessed the peaceful transition of our precious Mother from this life to Glory. Collectively, we say goodbye to a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to faith, love, and unwavering dedication. Born on November 13, 1930, in Indiana to devoted pastor parents, Glenn and Verbia Rowe, she was formed from her earliest days by the strength of her family's calling and the warmth of her community of faith.
She found her life partner, Fred Barnaby, and they embarked on an extraordinary journey-traveling as evangelists for 15 years, bringing hope and encouragement to churches across the nation. In 1958, their combined love for souls, compassionate Heart and shared vision led them into the literal heart of Philadelphia, where they established The Greater Church of Philadelphia, which became a haven for many. Her courage and compassion shaped not just the neighborhood, but the countless lives that crossed her path.
As a mother, she poured her heart and soul into raising five children-four daughters and one son-instilling in them the same kindness, strength, and faith that fueled her own extraordinary journey. Just ten days short of her 95th year, she leaves behind a legacy not just of a loving family, but of hundreds of lives transformed by her generosity and commitment.
Of the many extraordinary and wonderful moments in her life, one that she cherished most took place shortly after her birth. Because of the deep, enduring friendship and brotherly bond in the Lord between her father and Bishop G. T. Haywood, a special event unfolded. In February 1931, Grandpa Rowe traveled down to Indianapolis, Indiana, to visit and proudly introduce his new 3 month old baby, Faith Pricilla, to Bishop Haywood. There, while holding little Faith Pricilla in his arms, Bishop Haywood along with her father G. B. Rowe laid hands on her and prayed, dedicating her to the Lord. This moment became even more meaningful knowing that Bishop Haywood would pass away just two months later, in April 1931. As far as we know she may have been the very last person he prayed for just before his death.
Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit endures through every life she touched and every act of kindness inspired by her memory. Her exemplary life was fashioned by the faith in her heart and deep continuous study and love of the Word of the Lord.
Devoted wife of the late Fred E. Barnaby. Cherished mother of Tanya Sue Edwards, the late Fonda Rana Perez, Joel Thane Barnaby, Leah Lani Schroeder and Yolanda Faith Trimble. Beloved grandmother of Colleen Hughes, Jason Edwards, Don Edwards, Ashley Wetmore, Dana Sullivan, Dustin Perez, Colten Barnaby, Caleb Barnaby, Autumn Barnaby, Britni Schroeder, Dylan Schroeder, Tara Trimble and Nolan Trimble.
