Dorothy Burkhart Obituary
Dorothy J. Burkhart, age 97, passed away at her home on November 20, 2024.
She was born on June 9, 1927, in Alliance, to Robert and Gladys (Oswald) Waffler.
Dorothy was a cook at West Branch Schools for 13 years. She was a member of Salem First Friends Church. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cathy L. (Mark) Hoopes; sons, Allen E. (Debbie) Burkhart, Daniel P. (Kim) Burkhart, and Larry L. (Jodi) Burkhart; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Richard Burkhart; brother, Marvin Waffler; and sisters, Bernice Conrad and Doris Cameron.
A private family service was held.
Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Avenue, Salem, Ohio 44460.
