Dorothy L. Cagle, 100, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Harborview Nursing Home in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, April 29, 1922, in Humboldt, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Lloyd and the late Lula Bell Williams Lloyd. Mrs. Cagle worked for over thirty years for the City of Dyersburg where her last position was as dispatcher. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Graveside services for Mrs. Cagle will be held 2:30 PM on Monday. May 9, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Phil Hall. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two grandchildren, Ann Butler (David) and Bob Cagle (Teresa); six great grandchildren, Jake Cagle (Cheyenne), Shelbi Cagle, Garrett Hardin, Hannah Medlock, Mandy Belton (Steven) and Jacob Butler; four great-great grandchildren, Hazel Cagle, Carlee Belton, Noah Belton, and Levi Belton and her sister, Mattie Chandler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Cagle, son, Bobby Cagle, Sr. and brother, Harold Lloyd.
Honoring Mrs. Cagle as pallbearers will be Jake Cagle, David Butler, Skipper Goins, Verlon Barnard, Garrett Hardin, David Greer, and Bob Cagle.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks Avalon Hospice. We are truly thankful for Sherry Lawler, Shelby Parker Robertson, Amanda Norman, and Brent Pearce.
