Dorothy Mae Cason

Our beloved mother, Dorothy Mae Cason, peacefully passed in the comfort of her own home at the age of 80 on 11/1/2025. She will be remembered for her mischievous sense of humor, her never ending unconditional love, her ability to always face a challenge with a grace that others admired and a green thumb that produced some of the most beautiful gardens that she loved to share with others. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry Joe Cason, her mother Lottie Hastings, her sister Marie Hedrick and her grandson Joshua Worley. She is survived by her three children Wendy Cason, Jack Cason (Stacey), Cheryl Lamb (Keith) and her loving sister Mildred Powell. She is also survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hoffman Hospice of Bakersfield, CA. We would also extend our gratitude for all of the hospice personnel that supported us in caring for our mother in her last days. In particular we would like to thank her care team (Kirk, RN, Erin LVN, Beth, RN, Jessica, RN, Sukreet, RN and care aide Maria and Lovey, RN and Ralph with Durable Medical Equipment). Their dedication and compassion to their work allowed us to say goodbye with peace in our hearts.
