Cheryl Ann “Diamond Lil” Cason, 66, of Glasgow, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with stage four liver cancer.
Cheryl was born on November 9, 1958, in Glasgow MO to Dorothy (Lewis) and Lloyd Cason. She accepted the position as a housekeeper where she worked for over 40 years. Cheryl was all about spending time surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, and shopping, especially if there was a good sale. She loved sharing stories with any and everyone. Her family will always remember her for her quick wit, fast comebacks, and her love for angels.
Throughout Cheryl’s illness, she taught those around her what it means to live bravely and to find joy in the good days. She displayed incredible courage and unwavering hope as she fought with determination and grace, inspiring everyone around her.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Dorothy Cason; siblings, James (Jimmy) Cason, Gloria Cason, Robert (Robbie) Cason and Marilyn (Jenny) Cason.
Cheryl is survived by her two loving sons, Alex Cason of Moberly, MO, and Raymond Cason of Moberly, MO; grandchild, Alexis Cason of CA; siblings, Lawrence (Terry) Cason of Atlanta, GA, Allen Cason of Moberly, MO, Curt Cason of Moberly, MO; as well as many close family and friends.
May Cheryl rest in eternal peace, free from pain and be remembered for the love and energy she brought into the lives of others. She will be missed every day, and we are comforted knowing she will always be in our hearts.
A Memorial Gathering celebrating Cheryl’s life has been scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus located at 798 County Road 2275, Moberly, MO. 65270 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 p.m.
