Barb followed the path of her father and older brother and began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone. After high school. Barb was a great card player and spent many hours of her life playing numerous card games with friends and family. She had a travel bug that took her all over the United States with her girlfriends and she looked forward to every “sib trip” with Wayne, Donna and Teresa.

In her later years, she enjoyed chasing her grandchildren in their athletic journeys and following Harrisburg and Hallsville High School Athletics as well as three of their college athletic journeys at Central Methodist (Track and Field), William Jewell College (Football), and University of Central Missouri (Track and Field). She had a great collection of school T-shirts and was ready to travel at any given moment.

Barb’s family includes: Her two daughters; Dawn (Josh) Stephenson of Harrisburg, MO, and Kellie (Benji) Austene of Hallsville, MO. Her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; Kelsey (Vince) Debenito and their two sons Aiden and Brock of Harrisburg, Kyla (Bryant) Roberts and their two sons Caden and Easton of Harrisburg, Brayton Stephenson and Jaidyn Stephenson of Harrisburg, MO, AJ Austene and Marissa Austene of Hallsville, MO.
