While her family was young, Dorothy was a Sunday school teacher in Jamestown at the former Assembly of God, now New Creation Assembly of God. She was also later employed by Blackstone and Quality Markets.
Dorothy was well known for her lavish holiday dinners. She was a warm, kind person, deeply loved by her family.
Surviving are five children: Sara Christine Forbes, Warren, Brian and John Cessna, and Billie Jo Cessna Welsh; 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Hadden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Jacqueline Franks, Lois Francis, and a son, Paul Cessna; four brothers, Jim, Sam, Bob and Patrick Hadden, and two sisters, Arlene Donnelly and Emma Kellog.
Per her wishes, no service or visitation will be observed. Burial will be in the Blockville Cemetery.
