Dorothy Clever Obituary
Born July 17, 1930 in Hustontown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Bruce Martin and Sarah Shore Cutchall.
Dorothy married Vernon Clever in 1947 and they raised 7 children. She worked as a seamstress at Sagner's Clothing, and the Mercersburg Cold Storage with her husband. She loved all animals and enjoyed bowling in the church league.
Dorothy attended Clayton's Memorial Church of God in Mercersburg, PA.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Egolf, and 4 sons, Roger (Barb) Clever, Vernon Eugene (Denise) Clever, James (Teresa) Clever, and Ronald (Debra) Clever. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Alma Lininger and 17 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Clever, and two daughters, Shirley Carmack and Tammy Robinson.
A funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Clayton Memorial Church of God in Mercersburg with Chaplin Justin Isbister officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service and burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mercersburg, PA.
