Dorothy Fern Compton (nee Alexander), of Wright City, MO, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Compton; cherished daughter of the late Floyd and Retta Irene Alexander; devoted mother of Caron (Terry) Ritchie, Wendell Compton, Mindy L. Schrader, the late Curtis Compton, and the late Roy Compton; loving grandmother of 12; treasured great grandmother of 23 and great-great grandmother of 3; dear sister of 4 sibling who preceded her in death, three brothers, Gerald Alexander, Verlon Alexander, Chalmer Alexander, and one sister, Bertie Mae Alexander.

Dorothy was a devoted member of the Church of the Nazarene in St. Charles County and a woman of deep faith. She loved reading books, especially romance novels and love stories, and had a great passion for listening to gospel music and Elvis. A frequent visitor of Walmart, she often encouraged her family to stop at any location they passed while traveling. Above all, Dorothy adored her family, especially grandchildren, cherishing every opportunity to spend time with them and host holiday gatherings. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
