Dorothy JoAnn Flipse passed away on February 7, 2025. JoAnn was born on December 13, 1936 in Patterson, New Jersey. She married Billy Cochran Perry on April 6, 1956 in Lynn Grove, Ky. To this Union were born Randy Lee, Katherine Lynn and Teressa Ann. On March 7, 1972 JoAnn dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She spent the rest her life teaching others about the wonderful hope that the Bible holds out. Much of that time was with her dear friend Doris McDonald. They spent time in New Mexico, Texas and Florida before settling in Cairo,Ga. In 2012 Doris became seriously ill, and JoAnn unselfishly and loyally cared for her until her death. JoAnn had many friends and service partners over the years, and was a hard worker in Jehovah's service. She was quick to laugh and was very witty, but was also kind and generous with those that she met. She was very independent, even in her later years. Even in her 80's, it took some convincing to help her see it was ok to have someone else get on the roof to clean her gutters, or to mow her grass.
She is survived by her daughters Katherine (Joseph) Malone and Teressa (Jay) McKeage. She had 7 grandchildren... Jamie Perry Trautman, Linda Jackson, Joshua Perry, Ryan Rowlett, Konrad Sehler, John and Jackson McKeage as well as 4 Great Grandchildren. Elly Trautman, Kace Gale, Rylee Rowlett and Winnie McKeage.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gerard and Mary Flipse, her son Randy Perry and her brother Joseph Gerard Flipse.
There will be a memorial for JoAnn on March 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Pelham Ga.
