Dorothy M. Fredrickson, 81, of Antigo, Wisconsin,passed away at her adopted second home in Kimberly with family by her side on January 21, 2026.

She was born on October 25, 1944, in Pearson, Wisconsin, to Martin and Eunice Kwick. On December 29, 1972, she married James Fredrickson, who preceded her in death on January 4, 2004.

Dorothy’s life was filled with love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her warmth touched everyone who knew her. She and James also opened their hearts to a foster child, offering care and guidance that left a lasting impact.

She is survived by her children:

- Michael Kwick and his wife Lynn of Clanton, Alabama, along with grandchild Bradley and four great-grandchildren

- Paul Kwick and his wife Stacy of Lutts, Tennessee, along with grandchildren Christopher, Michael, and Stephanie, six great-grandchildren

- Jenifer Habert and her husband Shawn of Antigo, Wisconsin

- Jeffery Fredrickson and his fiancé Charlie Ottone of Kimberly, Wisconsin

She is also survived by the family of her late son Nathan Kwick: Cindy Bornbach and children Zachary, Storm, and Madison, along with two great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters Mabel of Lincoln, Nebraska; Vicki of Beach Park, Illinois; and Kathy of Scottsdale, Arizona; and by her brothers Jack of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Charlie and his wife Carol of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She is also remembered by William Wozniczka, a foster child she and James helped raise. She is also survived by many neices and nephews. 

She is survived by her stepchildren Laura, Sandy, Becky, Allen, and John, along with their families, including eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, her son Nathan Kwick, her great-grandson Riley, her brothers Donald, Eugene, and Ron, and her sister Rose.

Also a special thank you to the Thedacare hospice team and Fresenius kidney care in Appleton.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
