Dorothy Lee Hake, age 91 of Big Rock, IL passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1934 in Jewell, KS the daughter of Charles and Lillie (Sipp) Mallory.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Mr. Jack Hake on December 31, 1954 and they have spent the next 70 years happily together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Jack Hake of Big Rock, IL; her children, Cindy (Gene) Nehring of Big Rock, IL, Larry (Patty) Hake of Sandwich, IL, Nancy (Alan) Talkington, of Aurora, IL, John Edward (Marybeth) Hake of Big Rock, IL; her fourteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillie Mallory; her infant son, Kenneth Duane Hake; and her seven siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 N. Maple Street, Hinckley, IL. Interment will follow in West Big Rock Cemetery, Big Rock, IL.
Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Memorial Chapel in Hinckley, IL.
