Dorothy Jane Hazel 83, of Grayville, IL passed away on November 3, 2025 at the Haven on the River in Grayville, IL.
Dorothy was born July 21, 1942 in Harrisburg, IL to Edgar and Martha (Cowsert) Smith.
Dorothy married Richard Hazel Sr. and they lived in West Salem, IL. She was a line worker and attended the House of Prayer in Albion, IL.
Dorothy is survived by her children Lori (Eddie) Linder, Ann Schnell, and Richard (Jayme) Hazel; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Jim (Lavada) Smith; and sisters Christina Thomas and Ella (Donnie) Knackmus, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband Richard Hazel Sr.; daughter Paula Mitchell; granddaughter Summer Jo Mitchell; grandson Jeffery Paul Schnell; sister Roberta Berkle and nephew Donnie Lee Knackmus.
Dorothy will be cremated and a Celebration of Life service held at a later date..
