Dorothy Marion (Ogdahl) Jones was born on October 6, 1927, in Georgeville, the daughter of Samuel and Clara (Hoffman) Lee. She grew up near Belgrade, where she attended country grade school at Ringville Dist #11 and Belgrade High school, graduating in 1946. On August 6, 1949, Dorothy was united in marriage to Ernest Ogdahl. They made their home near Brooten and were blessed with a son and three daughters. Dorothy and Ernest shared in nearly 30 years of marriage before his death on June 17, 1979. On May 29, 1982, Dorothy was united in marriage to Kenneth Jones. They made their home near Brooten, where they enjoyed many years of retirement and their families together. They were able to share in 25 years of marriage before his death on August 19, 2007.

Dorothy was a member of South Lake Johanna Lutheran Church where she was part of ladies aid, alter guild, quilting group and taught Sunday school and Bible camp. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, baking, cooking, quilting, gardening, reading and so much more. She is remembered for always putting others first, living a life devoted to her family and friends with a strong faith that sustained her through many challenges in her life. Her giving nature endeared her to everyone she knew. She had strong shoulders and a good ear for listening.

Dorothy was fortunate to have been married to two special men and to have incorporated two families into one. She loved her family beyond measure and was loved in returned by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Kay (Jerry) Olson, Kathy (Mike) Skindelien and Jeanne (Kim) Kinne; stepchildren, Velda Jones, Elroy (Sharon) Jones and Howard (Beverly) Jones; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Ogdahl and Kenneth Jones; her parents; son, Daniel Ogdahl; grandson, Darrin Ogdahl; and stepdaughter, Marlys Flickinger.

A special thank you to Glacial Ridge Ambulance and Hospice, Glenwood Retirement Village staff and family and friends for all their support.
