Dorothy "Dottie" D'Albor LeBlanc, pronounced Dot-T, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at age 101. She was a native and lifelong resident of Plaquemine. Dot-T was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who filled her home with love. She was the last surviving classmate of St. John High School class of 1941.
Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, on Wednesday, September 24th, from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., celebrated by Rev. Martin Lawrence. Entombment will follow in Grace Memorial Park.
Dot-T is survived by her children, Sterling "Boot" LeBlanc Jr. and wife Phyllis Toups, Robert "Bobby" LeBlanc and wife Gina, and Jeanie Dupont and husband Danny; brother, Carl "Caboot" D'Albor and wife Katherine "Katee"; grandchildren, Tisha Payne (Kenny), Cherie Edwards (Patrick), Brandon Elllis (Aslyn), Beau LeBlanc (Betsy), Drue LeBlanc (Katie), Gene' LeBlanc, Jessie Deshotel (Tory), Daniel Dupont (Lauren) and Jacquelyn Dupont; great-grandchildren, Clay Payne (Sharon), Hannah Ellis, Shelby Ellis, Michael Patrick Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Kate Edwards, Drue Elizabeth LeBlanc, Indie LeBlanc, Jade Deshotel, Jeanne Deshotel, Josie Deshotel, Matthew Dupont and Emma K Dupont; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley Payne and Kenneth Knox Payne; and to her forever family for the special bond, unwavering care, love and devotion, Rushana "Shawna" Jordan, Kathy Harrison, and Gillie Courtade.
Preceded in death by husband of 63 years, Sterling "Lightnin" LeBlanc Sr.; parents, Felix J. Sr. and Louise Kratzer D'Albor; sisters, Theresa Blanchard and Ada D'Albor; brothers, Felix D'Albor Jr. and Paul D'Albor.
Pallbearers will be Sterling "Boot" Jr., Robert "Bobby", Beau LeBlanc, Drue LeBlanc, Danny Dupont, Daniel Dupont, Michael Patrick Edwards, Tyler Edwards, and Clay Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Edwards, Tory Deshotel, Brandon Ellis, Kenny Payne, and Carl "Caboot" D'Albor.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice, especially John Barbee and Andrea Clement Sandidge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John School, 58645 St. Clement Ave., Plaquemine, LA 70764.
