Dorothy Cecelia (Wade) Logan, age 99 of Springboro, Ohio, passed on August 26th, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1926, to Glenn and Elizabeth (Bishop) Wade. She came from a large and loving family, and was the sixth of eleven siblings. She was born and raised in Franklin, Ohio, where she also graduated from high school.

After school, Dottie worked as a bookkeeper at the Maxwell Paper Company in Franklin, Ohio. Later, she became the proud co-owner of Libby’s Dress Shop in Springboro, a business she and her sister-in-law, Libby Wade, ran for many years. Afterward, she brought her natural sense of style and warm personality to her role as a sales associate at Donenfeld’s.

Dottie married the love of her life, Charlie Logan. They were together for 65 years and built a beautiful home where family and friends always felt welcome. Their life together was full of love, laughter, and shared memories.

Dottie lived a life full of grace and purpose. She was generous, talented, and capable of anything she set her mind to. She had a deep passion for antiques and created an inviting, beautifully curated home that reflected her eye for detail and her love for history.

She was deeply rooted and respected in her community. Dottie was an active member of the United Methodist Church for over 70 years. She was also a dedicated member of the Children’s Conservation League, sharing many cherished moments with dear friends, and volunteered countless hours with the Springboro Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles and their daughter, Jane. Also preceded in death were her brothers: Dick, Bob, Raymond, Ralph, and Bill, and by her sisters: Eileen, Glenna, Donna Mae, and Betty. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Tom) Brown, and her treasured grandchildren: Josh (Elaine) Johnston, Sarah Rodewald and Wade (Claire) Brown. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Emma, Ellerie, Charlie, Henry, Weston, Vaughn, Logan, Reagan, and Camden. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Zech, and sister-in-law, Sue Wade, and many nieces and nephews who dearly loved and supported her.

Dottie’s love for her family was deep and unwavering. She hosted many joyful gatherings, including the annual Wade Family Picnic, a tradition where her presence will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind a tremendous hole in our hearts, but we are endlessly grateful for the years of love, wisdom, and joy she gave us.

Thank you to the many wonderful caregivers, nurses, and staff at the Enclave in Springboro.

A special thank you to Day City Hospice for their incredible care and support during her final days.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Springboro First United Methodist Church and Day City Hospice.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 5:00 pm at Springboro Cemetery (2348 W. Lower Springboro Rd., Springboro, OH 45066).
