Dorothy was blessed to be a member of a very large and extended family that she loved dearly, and if you were lucky enough, you were able to join her at her favorite place, the family cottage in Holland. On June 29, 1957, she married R. Joseph (Joe) Ludlam, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Dory (Ludlam) Lassiter and son-in-law Kim Lassiter, and by her six sisters and three brothers and their spouses. Survivors include four children: Mike (Heather) Ludlam of Hopkins, MI; Bob (Jill) Ludlam of Naperville, IL; Karen (Stan) Hokanson of Hugo, MN; Jay (Holly) Ludlam of Chicago, IL; her twelve grandchildren Ryan Lassiter, Rachel (Josh) Cummings, Hallie Lassiter, Samantha (Chase) Bos, Xander (Joseph) Ludlam, Joe Ludlam, John (Ashley) Ludlam, Kristin (Mike) Vitello, Kate (John) Theisen, Steve Hokanson, Hannah Ludlam, Joni Ludlam and four great grandchildren; and by many members of her extended, close, and loving family. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Michigan at a future date along with a celebration of life for Dorothy and her whole generation of brothers and sisters.
