Dorothy A. (Jaskiewicz) Marshall, age 92, of Erie passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Independence Court. She was born in Erie, on June 15, 1929, to the late Stephen and Catherine Wienczkowski Jaskiewicz.
Dorothy was employed at Loblaws as a deli manager, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild for many years. She was also a member of the Local 1 Retirees Union. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower gardening and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John A. Marshall, a brother, Anthony J. Jaskiewicz, and sister, Christine Sierota.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Ruth Jurkiewicz (David) of Florida, John Marshall II (Carol) of Edinboro, Cynthia Rabe (Richard) of Jefferson, Ohio, Stephen Marshall of Erie; sister, Gertrude Massing, of Erie; grandchildren, Lisa Walker (Jack), Rachel Sowers (Shawn), Erica Marshall (Brian), Julie Marshall, Shane Marshall, Alexander Rabe (Susan), Jillian Rabe, Stephanie Easley (Brendan), Allison Large (Brandon), and Adam Marshall; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Dalton, Grayson, Hollin, Madeline, Katie, Emily, Allison, Riley, Ryan, Sophie, Brendan, Ila, and Gavin.
Friends may call on Friday 3 to 7 p.m. at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pine Ave Branch, 845 E 38th Street. A prayer service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will take place in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Covid-19 protocols will be followed, and masks are required for entry.
Memorials may be made to Great Lakes Home Healthcare and Hospice, 1700 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16501. Condolences may be sent to www.bruggerfuneralhomes.com.
