Mary Ann Sinnott

Mary Ann Sinnott, age 86, of Erie passed away on Sunday Nov. 9, 2025 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie, PA on Sept. 1, 1939, a daughter of the late Bernard and Mildred Schriefer Ohmer.

She graduated from Academy High School. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, J. Greg Sinnott on April 18, 1958. They raised four children together until his untimely death in 1978. She was a realtor for many years, retiring from REMAX.

Mary Ann enjoyed gambling, hanging on the houseboat and Sunday dominos. She took up upholstery work with her sister-in-law. But most of all, she loved being “beautiful Gram” and “GiGi” to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband Greg, she was preceded in death by her son Timothy Sinnott, son-in-law Keith Brocious, her brother Richard Ohmer and sister Linda Morosky.

She is survived by her children: Mark (Kathy) Sinnott, Kathleen (David) Rosswog, and Patty Brocious; her stepdaughter Christine (Joe) Decosta; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters Norma Strobel and Cathy Mullen, sister-in-law Gail Ohmer and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on the family on Tuesday November 11th from 4-7pm at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St. and attend a service on Wednesday November 12th at 10am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 6248 West Lake Rd.
