Terry Todd Sinnott, 60, of Nelsonville, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Laurels of Heath. Terry was born on October 1, 1965, in Nelsonville, the son of the late Joe and Judith Ann (Maiden) Sinnott.
Terry was a 1984 graduate of Logan High School and attended Hocking College to study culinary arts. He worked as a chef in the dining halls at Ohio University. Terry loved to be around people, whether he was spending time with his coworkers or hanging out with friends and family.
Terry is survived by his sisters, Tracey Sinnott of Burnsville, Minnesota, Trisha Gail of Columbus, and Tina (Mark) Sinnott-Shannon of Storden, Minnesota; nieces, Taylor (Parker) Tordsen of Silver Lake, Minnesota and Meghan (Cole) Schneider of Avon, Minnesota; nephews, Elliott Sinnott of Rochester, Minnesota, Patrick (Crissy) Gail of Lancaster, Ethan Gail of Columbus, and Jackson (Katelyn) Shannon of Storden, Minnesota; great-niece, Presley Tordsen; great-nephew, Asher Gail; and several aunts and uncles.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Judith Sinnott; and grandparents, Joseph “Joe” and Libby Sinnott, Elmer and Ada Maiden, and Perry and Kate Durham.
Terry’s family would like to express their sincere thanks for the care given by the staff of the Laurels of Heath.
Cremation will take place, and Terry’s ashes will be buried with his mother at Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel, at a later date. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville.
