Kinsman, Ohio - Dorothy Elizabeth McBride, age 94, died at her sons home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was born on June 29, 1930, in Kinsman, Ohio, the daughter of Inez M. (Arnold) and Omar Kidwell.
On December 13, 1947, she married Stanley E. McBride. Dorothy was a member of the Kinsman Methodist Church for over eighty years. She was active with the Ladies Circle, and always lent a hand with their Turkey Bazars and funeral dinners. Dorothy was a care giver for the Boyds Kinsman Home for more than forty years. She also babysat and was known for her fabulous cookies and cakes.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of thirty-three years, Stanley "Stu" McBride; four sisters, Marjorie Wade, Ruby Stredney, Mary Leslie, and Sara Kidwell; seven brothers, Bernard Kidwell, Leo Kidwell, Omar "Junior" Kidwell, Jr., Lawrence "Tink" Kidwell, Merle Kidwell, W. Duane Kidwell, and Robert Kidwell. Survivors include her three children, Marilyn (Chuck) Foote of North Venice, Florida, Richard (Tammy) McBride of Austintown, Ohio, and Marla (Greg Guman) McBride of Kinsman, Ohio; grandchildren, Paul, Eric (Claire), Evan, Erin (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Trenton, Olivia, Lucas, Madison, and Grayson; a sister Betty Malys; her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Kidwell both of Champion, Ohio.
Private services and burial in Kinsman Cemetery will be held at the familys behest. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Boyds Kinsman Home, PO Box 315, Kinsman, OH, 44428.
