Dorothy "Dottie" McDonald, 86, of Alexander, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Dottie was born on February 17, 1938, in Edwardsville, IL, the daughter of the late Oscar Amos Davis and Mary Narcissus Dunning Davis.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Charles McDonald; grandson, Colby Webb; and several siblings. Surviving are her children, Judy K. Turner and her spouse Jimmy, of Alexander, Connie S. Chandler and her spouse, Scott, of Candler, NC, JoAnn Powell and her partner Brad and Darlene Webb of Forest City, NC; sister, Mary Margaret McGee of Illinois; and many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Turner officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service.

Great Aunt Dorothy was a beautiful gem I lived in Madison N.C and my husband and I had gone to see her and I enjoyed every minute that I spent with her she will be sadly missed but never forgotten she is now with her loved ones and rejoicen........Billie Spann
