Dorothy Jean Brown Mobley, age 95, of Mt. Juliet, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Dorothy was a devout Christian and an active member of Shelby Ave. Baptist Church for many years where she was a member of the choir.
She retired from the Internal Revenue Service as an executive secretary in taxpayer’s services where she was presented with many prestigious awards for her dedication and excellent work.
She was known to everyone as “Aunt Dorothy”, even to those not kin to her. She loved her family and was especially close to her nieces and nephews and “her little boy”, Jett. She was very loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Mobley, her parents Ernest and Mattie Reeves Brown, as well as her siblings.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2025, at North Highland Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Chris Pope and Ken Marciel officiating. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
