Dottie was the beloved mother of four children: her son John Mitchell Schouster Jr. and his wife Shannon (Stanovich) of Maryland; and her daughters Dorothy Jean Harvey and husband Kevin Porter of Maryland; Christina Marie (Drury) Hartman and husband Allan of Houston, Texas; and Brandy Ann (Drury) Lehmann and husband Steven of LaGrange, Texas.
Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: James Michael Harvey Jr. of Austin, Texas; Brett Michael Schouster and wife Micaiah; Tanner Lee Schouster; Bryce Kaden Schouster all of Maryland; Brandon Douglas Strube and wife Angelica of Bastrop, Texas; Hayden Brennan Hartman of Houston, Texas; Kaitlynn Grace Lehmann and Kash Alan Connar Lehmann both of LaGrange, Texas. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Alexis, Aria, Mavrick and Scotty.
Her extended family includes numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and cousins who will carry forward memories of their time together.
Dottie is remembered by her brothers: Harry Leroy Moss and Thomas Bernard Showalter and wife Sue; as well as her sisters Valerie Ann Hill and husband John, and Tina Marie Showalter and partner Elizabeth Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Harry Miller Moss; Mother, Dorothy Jene (Hildebrandt) Showalter; Stepfather, Bernard Showalter; Brother, Maynard Elisworth "Jake" Moss; Nieces Rachel Jene Hensley and Jennifer Moss; and Great-niece Samantha Hurst.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on September 25, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home at 9719 Wortham Blvd Houston, Texas 77065.
