A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Riche will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen with the Rev. Shoury officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Riche, age 91 of Bunkie, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Valley View Nursing Home.
Dot was a lifelong member of Church of the Little Flower Catholic Church. She loved her faith and God. Her love for her family was beyond measure -- they were everything to her. Her hobbies included playing to Cajun music, baking for everyone, and working in her flower beds.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Larma and Dora Lemoine Descant and a baby sister, Catherine Descant.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Walter Riche of Bunkie; her children, Becky Riche Rozas (Ric) of Cottonport and David Riche (Jane) of Bunkie; her grandchildren, Travis Rozas (Allyssa), Brigitte R. Joffrion (Nick), Brittany R. Robeau (Buster), Erica Riche and Jenny Marcotte (Adam); and 8 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen.
