Dorothy Cochran Russell, age 68, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at her home in Calhoun. She was born October 3, 1957 to William H. "Dub" and Ora Faye Jones Cochran in Tate, Georgia.
Dorothy was a member of Nelson Baptist Church and while growing up in Nelson, she made precious memories with family and friends. She was loved by many, and her warmth and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Patsy Cochran of Jasper, Ken and Janice Cochran of Woodstock, Danny and Dolores Cochran of Talking Rock, and Randy Cochran and Kim Goss of Talking Rock; and sister-in-law, Sue Cochran. Several other family members and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Gary, Jackie, Tony, and Byron.
A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
