SAKAGUCHI DOROTHY ANNE "Dottie" April 23, 1934 - May 26, 2025 Age 91, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away on May 26, 2025. Dottie was raised in Philadelphia by her mother, Dorothy, and her stepfather, Frederick "Elkie" Breidenfield. She met her husband, Thomas Y. Sakaguchi, in high school while struggling with algebra. He was a math whiz who helped her improve-a partnership she often joked led to "1 + 1 = 7 (kids)." They were married for 62 years-long enough to raise seven kids and still find things to laugh about. Dottie was a graduate of Rowan University with a degree in Journalism. She was known for her love of crafting, travel, and especially photography-amassing more than 30,000 slides and pictures over the years. Her warm spirit and quick sense of humor brought joy (and groans) to friends and family alike. She also had a deep love for animals, especially her cherished granddogs. She is survived by her children: Timothy (Maureen), Paul, Linda Hooker (Bruce), Mark (Monica), and David (Deanna); daughters-in-law Tammy and Alison; sister-in-law Judy Breidenfield; and six grandchildren-Rebecca, Savannah, Sierra, Jonathan, Sarah, and Abigail. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Y.; sons Thomas L. and Jeffrey; daughter-in-law Nancy; and her brother, Edward Breidenfield. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 10:00 A.M. on June 25 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA in Dorothy's memory.
