Smith, Dorothy Winifred, age 101 of Teaneck, NJ and formerly of Scranton, PA passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 14 surrounded by her family.
Beloved wife to the late Granville Clark Smith (2002). Devoted mother of four children: Cheryl Major and husband Harvey; Valerie Jackson and husband David; Granville Clark Smith, Jr. and wife Julie; and Debra Lea Payne; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by extended family and friends too numerous to mention.
As per her wishes, Dorothy was cremated on Friday, May 16, 2025. She will be remembered as a woman of faith, having a warm and generous spirit with lifelong dedication to family, church and community.
A memorial service and celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00am at The Presbyterian Church of Teaneck, 1 Church Street, Teaneck, NJ 07666 where she was an active member of the congregation for more than fifty years.
