Dorothy Jane Taylor

Dorothy Dixon Taylor was born in Guilford County and died Wednesday, January 21, 2026. She was a loving mother of five and a very Christian lady. She loved to sing and hum gospel music. She was a member of Grace Global Methodist Church. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her son, Joey Dixon, her sister, Louise Taylor, her brother, Raeford Morris and grandson, Chad Sanford.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Sanford, Judy Shepard (Ronnie), and Bonnie Tuck; one son, Tommie Taylor (Terri); one daughter-in-law, Karen Dixon; one brother, Ervin Morris (Barbara); seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

A special thank you to her son Tommie and wife Terri for their loving care for the last few years and also to Pruitt Health Hospice Care.
