Dorothy Terrell, 90, passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Despite her constant pain, she never lost her remarkable spirit or zest for life. Dorothy faced each day with grace, strength, and determination-an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Born on September 15, 1935, to Edward and Beulah Bolin of Bolin Dairy Farm in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Dorothy was a free spirit and a self-taught musician.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures, spending quiet afternoons with her horse, playing the piano, guitar, and other string instruments, or learning new skills such as typing, shorthand, and crochet. She had a deep love for animals and was happiest when surrounded by them. She also loved singing in the church choir and sharing her music with others.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William and James Bolin. She is survived by her children: Terry Barron of Durango, CO; Susan Stauffer and husband Gene of Moreno Valley, CA; Doug Vreeland of Seminole, OK; and Cindy Sims and husband Brian of Seminole, OK. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10am with Chaplain Tim O'Gwynn, officiating, at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025.
Pallbearers: Brian K. Sims, Richard Vreeland, Doug Vreeland Jr., Charles Miller, Bradey Sims, and Brian Dale Sims.
Honorary Pallbearers: Gene Stauffer, Brian Sims, Aaron Troni, Logan Gibbs, and Ed Cadenhead.
