She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Layton Vandervort; her brothers, Larry Campbell and Lesley Eugene Campbell; her granddaughter, Lillian Page Woodring.
Survivors include:
2 Daughters: Kimberly Leimbach and Charlene Woodring
Son: Layton Vandervort
2 Sisters: Sue Bryant and Roma Jean Campbell
2 Brothers: Lindell and Dennis Keith Campbell
17 Grandchildren 22 Great Grandchildren
The service will be 1PM Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. Bro. Troy Black will officiate. The burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery. The visitation will be 11AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Dorothy Vandervort Memorial Fund c/o Whitsell Funeral Home, 609 Main St., Sturgis, KY 42459.
