Dorothy Marie Welsh

Dorothy M. Welsh, age 87 of Parma, Ohio, passed away on November 24, 2025.

Beloved wife of nearly 50 years to the late William D. Welsh, cherished mother to Deborah Welsh and Donald Welsh (Mary); grandmother to Kyle; loving sister to Patricia Bailey (the late Don), Ronald Sliva (Bernadine) and the late Barbara Bednavczyk (the late Frank); Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In 1960, while working as a cafeteria worker at the J&L Steel Mill, she met her future husband, Wiliam D. Welsh who was employed there as a steel mill worker. Their connection was immediate and they have spent their lives together ever since.

She was a devoted mother whose greatest joy came from caring for her family, especially her grandson. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, she loved to make home-cooked meals for her family and was a true matriarch. A proud and enthusiastic sports fan, she loved cheering on the Indians and the Browns. Whether celebrating their victories or standing by them through tough seasons, her loyalty never wavered.

All who knew Dorothy will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Dorothy will be laid to rest privately with William, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
