With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother, Dorothy L. Wilson, age 79. Mom passed peacefully at home August 14, 2025. She was born March 31, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas.

Dorothy lived a life full of love for people with a gentle spirit and unwavering dedication to her family. Generous and compassionate, Dorothy was a safe space for advice, hard truths and support for all who knew her. Mom will always be remembered by family for her extensive vocabulary, her chicken and dumplings, banana bread and her love of coffee. Mom always had a cup of coffee. Dorothy's favorite hobbies were reading, binge watching a good TV series, ladies lunches and playing games with family and friends. Mom showed no mercy to her kids and grandkids at the game table. A lesson we quickly learned and mastered!

Dorothy is survived by her three children: Corey Wilson, Scott (Melanie) Wilson and Robin (Rodney) Appleby. Grandchildren: Brandon (Rachel) Wilson, Cameron Wilson, Chelsey (William) Johnson, Hannah Wilson, R.J. (Tabatha) Appleby, Dustin (Madison) Appleby and Molly Appleby. Great-grandchildren: James Wilson, Ryder Johnson, Rylee Johnson, Brentley Appleby, Ellie Appleby and John Marshall Appleby.

Mom, you will forever be missed. Our peace and happiness lies in knowing you are with those who departed before you. Parents: Cecil W. and Ruth Duke. Sister: Shirley Hall. Great-Grandson: Beckett Ford Appleby.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
